Kick-Start your Music Education at Spirit of the Arts Academy - PMEA State Festival auditions coming this November

One of the finest music sources is the human voice. When joined with instrumental accompaniment, the result for both performers and listeners is enjoyment. Like all sources of music, perfecting the basics is the key. A new, local program-Spirit of the Arts Academy-with its excellence in fine art training, innovative teaching skills, and instructional dedication, will provide individual and small group instruction for all skill levels to a cross section of the community - children, youth and adults.

Spirit of the Arts Academy provides a safe, stimulating and supporting environment with ample parking. Our mission is to nurture the artistic growth of students by preparing them to participate in the artistic life of their community. All lessons will be taught by music instructors that have professional expertise and teaching experience in fine arts training.

Spirit of the Arts Academy currently* provides instructional growth for:

• Voice
• Piano
• Brass
• Flute
• Percussion

The common thread for Academy students is shared punctuality, preparation and practice, with the goal of personal satisfaction, and the confidence and pride to perform. To build student confidence, recitals and special performance opportunities will be provided on a regular basis. These will be coordinated by the instructor and participants. This concept is a continually growing and evolving opportunity for students to apply their abilities outside the lesson. Additionally, the Academy encourages students, parents/guardians, and instructors to have a healthy dialogue about the student’s performance and enrichment opportunities.

All competitively-priced private lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis in 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute intervals, as determined by the parent/guardian, student and teacher.
