Lanes Closing During Day, Night On West Chester Pike Next Week

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — More work on the local safety improvement project on West Chester Pike in Newtown Square is planned next week, forcing lane closures.

According to PennDOT, West Chester Pike/Route 3 will have a daytime and nighttime lane closure to accommodate work on the project.

Lanes in both directions will close on West Chester Pike between Boot Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue.

Closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, Monday through Friday.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
