Lanes Closing During Daytime, Nighttime In Newtown Next Week

PennDOT said West Chester Pike in Newtown Township will have lane closures again to accommodate work on a local safety improvement project.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — West Chester Pike in Newtown Township will again have lane closures to accommodate work on a local safety improvement project, PennDOT said.

Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 through Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, a lane closure will impact traffic on West Chester Pike/Route 3 in Newtown.

The affected portion of road is between Boot Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue.

Lanes will close in both direction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
