Lanes On Interstate 476 Closing Overnight This Week: PennDOT

The lane closures will affect portions of the highway in Radnor, Lower Merion, Haverford, and Marple townships, PennDOT said.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Interstate 476 in parts of Delaware County and Lower Merion Township will have overnight lane closures this week due to milling and paving this week, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, alternating lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-476 between the U.S. 30 and the Route 3/West Chester Pike interchanges in Radnor, Haverford, and Marple townships for milling and paving.

Additionally, alternating lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-476 between the I-76 and the Route 3/West Chester Pike interchanges in Lower Merion, Montgomery County and Radnor, Haverford, and Marple townships, for utility work.

These lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning through Thursday this week.

PennDOT said this work is part of a $63.7 million project to resurface, repair and improve nearly 17 miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and bridges from I-76 in West Conshohocken Borough to I-95 in Ridley Township

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur.
