Major Water Main Replacement Work Underway In Marple
Work to replace water mains in the township is taking place on 13 roads. Work is expected to be complete in July and August.
MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania is undertaking a major water improvement project in Marple Township
Crews are at work in Marple to replace 6,920 feet of aging 16- and 6-inch cast iron pipe with new 16- and 8-inch ductile iron water main.
Work is taking place on West Chester Pike between South Sproul and Media Line roads; Garden Road at West Chester Pike; James Road at West Chester Pike; and North Malin Road between West Chester Pike and North Malin Road.

The $2 million project is scheduled to be completed in August this year.
Also in Marple, crews have been working to replace 8,579 feet of aging 8- and 6-inch cast iron pipe with new 8- and 6-inch ductile iron water main on the following streets:

- Parkway Avenue between Lawrence Road and Westbourne Drive
- Donna Circle from Parkway Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac
- Westbourne Drive between Parkway Drive and Warren Boulevard
- Robinson Drive between Westbourne and Redhill drives
- Redhill Drive between Robinson Drive and S. Central Boulevard
- Portland Drive between Redhill and Lyndhurst drives
- Polk Way between Portland Drive and S. Central Boulevard
- Milford Drive and Parkstone Way between Portland Drive and Warren Boulevard
- Sundor Circle from Milford Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac
The $1.7 million project is expected to be complete in July.
