Man Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle In Delaware County: Police

Marple Township Police said C. Leonard Cella, 86, of Broomall died on Christmas Eve after being struck on Broomall Avenue the day before.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — The man who was struck by a vehicle on Dec. 23 in Marple Township has died, police said.

According to Marple Township Police, C. Leonard Cella, 86, of Broomall died on Christmas Eve at Lankenau Medical Center.

Cella was struck at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday at West Chester Pike and Broomall Avenue.

Police said he was crossing Broomall Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle heading south.

The striking driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
