A man was arrested after authorities said he drove through a tribute to nurses in Darby while making threats then tried to flee police.
DARBY, PA — A man was arrested Tuesday after driving through a parade for Mercy Fitzgerald Medical Center nurses and led police on a chase before crashing his vehicle, according to news reports.
Daily Local News reports the incident occurred at about 6 p.m. Tuesday in Darby.
The man is accused of driving an SUV through the parade, then fleeing police, according to Action News.

Newsweek reports the man was armed and threatened to harm people.
Then, the SUV struck another vehicle and rolled over at Main Street and MacDade Boulevard, Daily Local News reports.

Police took the male driver into custody after using a taser to subdue him.
The driver's identity has not been released and it's unclear what charged he will face.
