Attempted Murder-Suicide Investigated In Delaware County: Police

Lansdowne Police said a man was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot, and a woman was suffering at least one gunshot, as well.

LANSDOWNE, PA — Authorities in Delaware County are investigating an apparent attempted murder-suicide after a man was found dead and a woman hurt from gunshots Tuesday.

The pair were found at about 5:41 a.m. in a home on the 200 block of West Plumstead Avenue in Lansdowne, police said.

Lansdowne Police found the man dead and suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The woman was found conscious in a second-floor bedroom, where she told officers she had been shot.

Police said she was taken to a hospital.

Due to investigators treating the incident as an attempted murder-suicide, police said there are no suspects being sought and that there is no threat to the community.

The case is being investigated by Lansdowne Police detectives and the Delaware County Criminal Investigative Division.
