Man Wanted For Guns, Drugs, More By Delco Police
A Darby man who was charged with strangulation and more Aug. 30 had gun and drug charges filed Aug. 31, but is not yet in custody.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — A Darby man has been charged with a slew of crimes, including strangulation, firearm violations, robbery, and false imprisonment after two incidents, but is not yet in custody, Marple Police said.
The charges filed against Dwayne Wright, 37, of Darby, stemmed from an Aug. 30 incident on Fourth Avenue in Marple Township.
At about 4:37 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, police were called to Fourth Avenue for a report of an assault in progress.

While police were heading to the area, they learned the suspect, later identified as Wright, left the area in a gray Ford sedan.
Police spoke with two adult victims and a juvenile victim, all of whom said they were assaulted by Wright.

The victims also told police wright stole one of the victim's cell phones.
Wright was taken into custody in Colwyn Borough a short while later and charged with strangulation, robbery, assault, and related charges.
Wright's bail was set at 10 percent of $20,000, but he posted bail Aug. 31 and was released, police said.
The evening of Aug. 31, Marple Police and the Region 1 SWAT team executed a search warrant on Wright’s residence.
Police seized four firearms, about 18 grams of suspected cocaine, drug packaging material, cash, and a shoe matching one that was left behind during the assault, authorities said.
Marple Police have an arrest warrant out for Wright for firearms and narcotics violations stemming from the search warrant execution.
