Marple Enacts Burn Ban During Record Dry Spell

Marple Township and other municipalities have banned recreational burning as the region's rainless streak continues.

Effective Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., Marple Township has declared a 30-day ban on all outdoor fires, expiring December 3, 2024. This burn ban applies to all outdoor fires, including fireworks, recreational fire pits, chimneys, and any wood-burning appliances.

This action helps protect our community’s health and safety by reducing fire risks during the dry season. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in keeping Marple Township safe!
