He serves as Director of the MA in Publishing Program at Rosemont College, and he has been an editor of journals and other professional writing (including standardized tests). He writes essays and poems thanks to the training he earned from his B.A. in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and his M.F.A. in English from the University of Pittsburgh. Warfield’s lectures about writing include “Intertextuality in Creative Writing” at the 2012 English Association of the Pennsylvania State Universities conference, and “Worries of the Poet, Tools of the Essayist”--a well-received part of Hippocampus Magazine’s 2016 conference on creative nonfiction.
