Marple Newtown HS Hosting 47th Annual Bandarama

Watch the award-winning Marple Newtown Tigers and other local marching bands Saturday night.

For nearly 50 years, marching bands have converged on Marple Newtown to a band extravaganza. Well, a Bandarama, to be exact.

This year is no different as the 47th Annual Bandarama is scheduled for Saturday Oct. 8 at the high school's Crozer-Keystone Stadium. The first band is set to take the field at 6:45 p.m., but spectators can get into the stadium at 5:30 p.m. to get the best seats in the stadium.

The event will feature marching band performances – including the award-winning Marple Newtown Tiger marching band – from bands across the area and food will be available as well. Last year's Bandarama featured 12 other bands and food including barbecue, pizza, and vegetarian chili.
