Marple, Newtown Residents Can Recycle Electronics May 20

De-clutter your space by recycling phones, TVs, computers, air conditioners, and more.

MARPLE NEWTOWN, PA – Hey Marple and Newtown residents, do you have old electronics that are only causing clutter and collecting dust? If so, you're going to want to keep some free time open on May 20 as the two townships, along with Haverford Township, are hosting a free community electronics recycling event.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, you can bring all those unused and old electronics to Delaware County Community College, 901 S. Media Line Road in Media, for a free "Anything with a Plug"recycling event.

Not only can residents of the three townships use the service, small businesses with 50 employees or fewer can also recycle electronics on that day.

Smoke detectors and large appliances, such a refrigerators, projection TVs, and wooden console TVs, will not be accepted.

Acceptable items include cell phones, microwaves, computers, TVs, printers, air conditioners, laptops, cameras, and other smaller electronics.

eForce Recycling, which is running the event, will wipe all device hard drives clean so your personal information does not end up in the wrong hands.
