Marple, Newtown Roads Affected By PECO Work Next Week

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — PECO Energy is planning lane restrictions next week on two roads in Marple and Newtown townships next week.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Route 3/West Chester Pike and Route 252/Newtown Street Road in Marple and Newtown townships will be restricted for utility installations, PennDOT said.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21 on Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) between Saw Mill Road and St. David’s Road in Newtown
• Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24 on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Ann Road and Latches Lane in Marple
• Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24 on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Garden Road and Malin Road in Marple

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
