Marple Newtown School District Closed Monday
As of Sunday evening, more than 3,000 PECO customers in the Marple and Newtown area were without power.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – The Marple Newtown School District announced its schools will be closed Monday, Feb. 5 due to various impacts from the recent nor'easter that ravaged the area.
According to the district, downed power lines and trees that closed key area roads for district buses forced the decision.
According to PECO, more than 3,000 customers in the Marple and Newtown areas are powerless as of 10:15 p.m. Sunday, March 4.
