Marple Police Announce 2017 Citizens Police Academy

Applicants must be 21 years old at least and must submit to a background check to participate in the 10-week academy.

BROOMALL, PA – Marple Township Police announced Wednesday its annual Citizen Police Academy for 2017 that will help residents give an inside look at the police department.

The academy begins Sept. 5 and will last 10 weeks. Classes are held at 7 p.m. at the Marple Township Police Station, 1001 Sussex Boulevard, Broomall.

Interested parties must be at least 21 years old and must submit to a criminal background check.

Applications are to be returned to Marple Police by 7 p.m. Aug. 29.

Class sizes is limited, to entry is based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those who attend the academy will get an inside look at the police department, its officers, and the issues they face in the community
