MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Marple Township are looking to bring on new officers and interested parties can apply through 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7.
Candidates considered for police officer positions will be tested on Friday, March 10.
The 2023 starting salary for a newly appointed police officer with the Pennsylvania Act 120 Certification is scheduled to be $72,836.82 per year.

A full salary Police Officer base salary will be $104,052.60 with a competitive benefit plan, inclusive of a retirement pension
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, a United States citizen, possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a high school equivalency certification, have a driver's license, and completed the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education Training Commission Act 120 training.

Potential hires must pass a physical agility test, a written examination, an oral examination, a background investigation, a physical examination, and a psychological examination.
