Marple Police Raise $1,800 On Charity Bike Ride To New Jersey

Four Marple officers rode in the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation 65 mile Ben to the Shore, which raised $1.05 million.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Four Marple Township Police officers rode 65 miles on bicycles to raise money for a charity group supporting children of fallen first responders.

Officers Tom Giannantonio, Jerome Duncan, Dan Gerrity, and Pat Sexton rode in the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation 65 mile Ben to the Shore event this weekend.

Over five hours, the four rode from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, raising $1,800 for the event.

In total, the ride raised $1.05 million.

After the race, the four paid tribute to late Marple Officer Brian Niedelman, who died suddenly in December 2020, at the Wall of Heroes.
