MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Marple Township are looking for new officers and are accepting applications now through mid March.
Interested and qualified candidates can pick up applications at the Marple Township Municipal Building, 227 South Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008. Download an application online here.
Applications require a $40 processing fee, which can be paid by check or money order.

Applications are being accepted now through noon Monday, March 16.
The examination will be administered Saturday, March 21.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Per the rules and regulations of the Marple Township Civil Service Commission, and as approved by township Ordinance, minimum requirements for police officer applications are:
- Section 304.4.1
- Evidence of successful completion of the Act 120 curriculum as administered by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission, to include the passing of the certification test;
- Section 304.4.2
- In addition to the above, a degree from an accredited university is preferred.
Other requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass the following examination phases:
- (a) Physical agility test
- (b) Written examination
- (c) Oral examination
- (d) Background investigation
- (e) Physical examination
- (f) Psychological examination.
