Marple Township Recreation Offering Eight-Week Pilates Class
Keep your New Year resolution of getting into shape in reach by attending all or some of the classes.
If you are trying to get into better shape this year, Marple Township Recreation is offering an eight-week class that could help you achieve that goal.
Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 31 and continuing weekly until March 21, the recreation department will hold a Pilates class from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the community room at Gauntlett Community Center, 20 Media Line Road, Broomall.
The classes run for eight weeks and participants can register for all session for just $70. If you can't make each class, you can attend single classes for $10 a class.

Certified Pilates instructor Maria Klang will teach the classes that focuses on the abdomen, oblique muscles, and lower back.
"Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs," the course description reads. "It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek toned body. Other program benefits include increased lung capacity and circulation, as well as improved coordination, posture and balance."

Attendees should bring their own rubber exercise or yoga mat to the classes.
