Marple Woman's 1993 Cold Case Murder Subject Of KYW Crime Podcast

Jennifer Tong of Marple Township was found dead in a car back in 1993. Police who worked on the case discussed it on a crime podcast.

MARPLE, PA — Back in 1993, Marple Township's Jennifer Tong was found dead in a vehicle in Villanova. Her case remains unsolved and a Radnor Township Police Sergeant who took on the case spoke about the murder on a crime podcast recently.

Radnor Township Police Sgt. Joe Maguire and Det. TJ Schreider discussed the murder of Jennifer Tong, 34, of Marple, on KYW Newsradio's Gone Cold Podcast. Maguire was the lead detective on the case.

Tong, a married mother of two, was found dead June 26, 1993 in the back seat of a car parked in the 100 block of South Spring Mill Road in the Villanova section of the township.

Authorities believe she was abducted from her Marple home and driven to Radnor Township before being shot in the head then left in the vehicle.

Police worked to solve the case, but never found answers. Then the case was reopened back in 2013, but still answers remain elusive.
