Mom Arrested For DUI After Striking Son With Vehicle In Delco: Police
Newtown Police said a 7-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle his mother was driving, and that the mother was arrested for DUI Monday.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A mother has been charged with DUI after striking her son with a vehicle in Newtown Township, police said.
Newtown Township Police and Riddle Hospital Paramedics were called to the Newtown Edgmont Little League field on Bishop Hollow Road for a report of a 7-year-old boy being struck by a vehicle at about 5:30 p.m. Monday, authorities said.
Officers on scene learned the boy's mother was backing out of a parking space and stuck her own son, according to police.

The boy was not seriously injured and taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Police said the mother was arrested at the scene for DUI.
