Newtown Square Fire Co Offering Live-In Firefighter Positions
Live-In positions at the fire company are available for volunteer firefighters who have full-time jobs or are college students.
NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — The Newtown Square Fire Company is offering live-in positions for volunteer firefighters who have full-time jobs or are college students.
These positions offer dorm-style private living spaces, laundry, cable TV, fitness equipment, uniforms and gear, a kitchen computer access, internet and Wi-Fi all for free in exchange for emergency service skills and overnight shift time.
The positions also provide advanced fire certification training.

Requirements for the live-in positions include CPR, First Aid, Infectious Control, Hazmat Awareness/Operations, NIMS 100,200,700, Pennsylvania or Nationally Recognized Fire Fighter I & II Certifications, Basic Vehicle Rescue - Technician, RIT Training
The fire company responds to over 700 calls each year.
