Newtown Square Whole Foods Expected To Open In Late 2018: Report

Stay patient, shoppers. It won't be much longer until you can get organic products from Whole Foods in Newtown Square.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – Grocery shopping in the Newtown Square area will be a bit more organic next year, as the Ellis Preserve Whole Foods location is expects to welcome customers in late 2018.

According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the Newtown Square Whole Foods in on track to open later next year.

The store was initially set to open in July this year, the outlet reports.

Development began in 2014 when the grocer signed a 20-year lease for the space in the Ellis Preserve.

Whole Foods was recently purchased by Amazon and the merger was complete on Aug. 28.

With the acquisition, Whole Foods dropped prices on items such as bananas, organic avocados, organic large brown eggs, organic responsibly-farmed salmon and tilapia, organic baby kale and baby lettuce, animal-welfare-rated 85 percent lean ground beef, creamy and crunchy almond butter, organic Gala and Fuji apples, organic rotisserie chicken, 365 Everyday Value organic butter and much more.
