Newtown Street Road Closing Weekdays Through Late August: PennDOT
Utility work will force weekday closures on a portion of Newtown Street Road in Newtown Township through the end of the month, PennDOT said.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Street Road in Newtown Township is closed weekdays through late August due to utility work, PennDOT said
According to PennDOT the road is closing weekdays now through Monday, Aug. 28.
The affected portion of road is between St. Davids and Sugartown roads in Newtown and Easttown township.

During the closure, which is in place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., drivers will be directed to use Route 252 (Darby Paoli Road), Leopard Road, and Sugartown Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zones.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
