Newtown Street Road Lane Closing For Milling, Paving Work

Lanes on the road will be closed for a week in mid September due to milling and paving work from PennDOT.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Street Road in Newtown Township will have lane closures for a week in mid September, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said Newtown Street Road/Route 252 will have lane closures Monday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Sept. 20 to accommodate milling and paving work.

Lanes will be closed between Gradyville and White Horse roads, PennDOT.

Closures will be in effect form 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The work is part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.
