Newtown Township Commits To Bird Conservation Efforts

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Newtown Township is re-committing to bird-focused conservation efforts as part of the Bird Town Pennsylvania initiative.

The township is joining more than 35 other municipalities in Pennsylvania to recognize new and invigorated leadership under the wing of the Pennsylvania Audubon Council.

Newtown Township is dedicated to furthering its bird-friendly habitat initiatives as a part of an overall commitment to create a healthier, more sustainable environment for birds, wildlife and its citizens.

The Bird Town Pennsylvania program provides tools for the township to engage, educate and empower its residents, schools and businesses to make more ecologically-friendly decisions and promotes a culture of conservation where everyone can be a steward of nature in their own backyard and beyond.

"We are proud of our Township’s re-commitment to the goals of Bird Town Pennsylvania, and we hope our residents will also take pride in their community as it aims for greater conservation and stewardship of natural resources," said Leonard B. "The new signs throughout the Township, with a fresh and bold logo, will remind those who live, work, worship or drive in our Township of our commitment to the environment."
