As this election draws near, if past practices persist, the time is ripe for negative comments to flourish about the candidates. Comments that are meant to sway voter decisions with no time for rebuttal. Don’t be fooled by negative unsubstantiated end-of-campaign comments and accusations, by unidentifiable persons. If the candidates themselves support these negative or deceptive comments, they themselves should be held accountable.
Openness and transparency during the election process, is as important as it is during the elected official’s execution of his or her duties after the election.
I have run a clean campaign and have not criticized or demeaned my opponents. I have run on issues and concerns that I believe in, and the issues and concerns of residents that I have spoken to. I hope my opponents and those who support them will be equally professional.

Voters should be looking for their elected leaders to be just that, “leaders” and not followers. My blogs have contained my thoughts and reflect my beliefs for this township; they are my words and not those of others who would have their intentions directed through the candidates.
Save the bag of dirty tricks for Halloween. During my time as a resident of Newtown Township I have tried to raise the bar in my dealings with elected and appointed officials. I hope others can do the same.

Choose whichever candidate you wish to support by what they have professed in the past months leading up to the election. By now you should have had time to address your candidate’s position on the many issues this township faces. Please don’t forget to vote for your choice on Tuesday November 5th.
