No Gun, Violence At Delco Community College Despite Lockdown: Police
Marple Police Chief Brandon Graeff said an "altercation" on the school's campus was blown out of proportion when a gun was reported.
MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — There was no actual threat to Delaware County Community College despite a brief lockdown Monday, according to authorities.
Marple Township Police Chief Brandon Graeff told Patch, at about 1:30 p.m. officers were called to the school for a report of a possible subject with a gun after some kind of altercation broke out on the Marple Township campus.
Police arrived in less than a minute and found no person with a gun or any kind of actual disturbance.

Police said an uninvolved third party who was near the altercation when it occurred thought a gun may have been displayed.
Those involved in the altercation were not found, Graeff said.

Officers spoke with school security and gave them the clear to lift the lockdown.
The school's website had an alert on it at 1:40 p.m. that read "DCCC Emergency- Shelter in Place or Run, Hide, Fight."
In the end, Graeff said there was never a threat to the school or the public, but that he understood concerns of the school community and public as a whole over a potential firearm threat.
