NY Man Charged In Mail Theft, Check Altering Case: Marple Police
Marple Township Police said Fernando Rosario of New York City stole a check, altered it to be $7,000 higher, then cashed it.

MARPLE, PA — A New York City man is charged with forgery and related crimes after Marple Police said he stole, altered, and cashed a check in February.
According to police, Fernando Rosario, 24, of New York, stole a $2,500 check from a USPS mailbox.
Police said the check was then altered to be $9,800.31 then deposited into Rosario's personal bank account.

The investigation began after a Marple resident told police an altered check was written against her Citizens Bank Account.
Rosario's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5, court records show.
