Overnight Lane Closures Impacting I-476 In Delaware County This Week

Tree trimming and paving work will force lane closures on both the north and southbound lanes of Interstate 476 in Delaware County.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Overnight tree trimming and paving work will force lane closures on Interstate 476 in Delaware County this week, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, lane closures will be in place on north and southbound Interstate 476 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning through Friday.

A lane closure will be in place on southbound I-476 between the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and U.S. 1 interchanges for paving.

And on northbound Interstate 476, a lane closure will be in place on sections of I-476 between I-95 and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) for tree trimming.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

This work is part of a $63.7 million project to resurface, repair and improve nearly 17 miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps and bridges from Interstate 76 in West Conshohocken Borough to Interstate 95 in Ridley Township.
