Palmers Mill Road Closed Through Mid August In Marple

MARPLE, PA — Palmers Mill Road in Marple Township is now completely closed, according to PennDOT.

The closure was set to begin Monday, but PennDOT said road deterioration from recent storms led to the early closure.

During the closure, crews will be addressing stormwater management issues on a portion of Palmers Mill Road as part of a regional project.

The road is closed through mid-August between Newtown Street Road/Route 252 and Martins Run Road.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Newtown Street Road, Cedar Grove Road and Sproul Road/Route 320.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.

The work schedule is weather dependent.
