PECO Upgrading Electrical Infrastructure In Newtown Township

PECO will be replacing and upgrading underground electrical service in the Greene Countrie Drive area and the Hansel Road area in Newtown Township.

Please see the attached letters to residents of those areas which were delivered to them earlier this month. The letters contain important information which should be helpful.

The work is scheduled to take place along the following roads in Newtown Township:

PECO's work is expected to start soon and be completed in October 2023. Residents will likely see the PA1 Call markings on the streets and in the right-of-way at this time. The work will be performed by PECO crews and qualified PECO contractors.

Access for services such as trash and recycling removal, student transportation and emergency vehicles will be maintained during construction.

Newtown Township reminds all those travelling through any such work zone to be extremely careful, and to follow the instructions of those workers from PECO and their sub-contractors who want to ensure everyone's safety while the projects are completed.
