Police In Delco Warn Of Potential Fundraising Scam

FOLCROFT, PA — Police in Delaware County are warning residents of a potential fundraising scam as unauthorized solicitation flyers have been circulating at least one municipality.

Folcroft Borough Police said they were alerted to a fundraiser that has been mailed to residents by a group called "Citizens Behind the Badge."

The flyer includes an affirmation of support of police, but also options for the recipient to donate various amounts of Monday.

Police said they have not spoken to anyone from the group behind the flyers and said they would suggest the flyers are a fraud.
