Recycle Christmas Trees Curbside In Newtown Township

All Christmas trees set out for recycling must be free of tinsel, lights, and other decorations. Artificial trees will not be collected.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Sadly, Christmastime has come and gone.

And that means it's time to get rid of your Christmas trees.

Newtown Township is now collecting real Christmas trees for recycling.

Tree collection is ongoing now through Jan. 13.

Residents can have trees recycled by the township by simply setting their trees on the curb.

Trees set out must have all decorations removed to be collected.

The township will handle chipping the tree and will re-use the wood chips in public parks and along trails.

Additionally, the township will allow residents to drop their trees off at the Public Works yard, located behind the Municipal Building/Police Station/Library at 209 Bishop Hollow Road.

Public Works will have the yard open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday until Jan. 13.
