Residents Sought For Newtown Planning Commission Seat

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Planning Commission has a vacant seat that needs to be filled.
Newtown Township residents interested in serving on the Planning Commission can help shape the community by serving on the crucial body of the local government.
The Planning Commission meets the fourth Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Newtown Township Municipal Building, 209 Bishop Hollow Road in Newtown Square.

Consisting of seven members, the commission makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for their decisions regarding the ordinances and policies that govern the development of land within the township. It is are responsible for reviewing and making recommendations related to proposed subdivision and land development plans, range planning, proposed zoning ordinances, subdivision, and commercial developments.
