Road Closing 3 Days For Tree Removal Work: Marple Police

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — The removal of large, hazardous trees on a Marple Township road will force its closure for three days, according to local police.

Marple Township Police said Crum Creek Road will be closed Wednesday through Friday for the tree removal work.

The closure will be in effect between Winchester Road and Lorraine Drive, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Winchester Road will be open for detours for drivers heading westbound on Crum Creek from Route 320.

However, access to homes west of Lorraine Drive must be made from Old Marple to Crum Creek roads.

A Marple Police officer will be posted at Crum Creek Road and Lorraine Drive to help drivers and respond to emergencies in the affected residential areas.
