Roads In Marple, Newtown Affected By PennDOT Work Overnight This Week

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — PennDOT said overnight work on several roads in Marple and Newtown townships will affect travel this week.

Crack sealing work along with resurfacing work will impact roads in both municipalities.

From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Monday through Friday, crack sealing work wil be done on:

  • Gradyville Road between Bishop Hollow Road and Creek Road in Newtown, Edgmont and Thornbury townships;
  • Route 320 (Springfield Road) between Sproul Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Marple Township;
  • U.S. 1 (Media Bypass/State Road/Township Line Road/City Avenue) between Baltimore Pike and the Delaware County line in Middletown, Upper Providence, Marple, Springfield, Upper Darby, and Haverford townships;
  • Lawrence Road between Route 320 (Sproul Road) and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Marple Township;
  • Route 320 (Sproul Road/Spring Mill Road) between Baltimore Pike and County Line Road in Radnor, Springfield and Marple townships.

And also, milling work will affect a portion of St. Davids Road from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The affected area is between Church Road and the Route 252 (Darby Paoli Road) Interchange in Newtown and Radnor township.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.
