See Newtown's 2023 Proposed Budget

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The 2023 proposed Newtown Township budget is available to view.

As it stands now, the proposed budget has a revenue deficit.

Projected revenues are $11.05 million and projected expenditures are $11.3 million.

This leaves a more than $250,000 gap in the budget.

Both the proposed revenues and expenditures are up from the approved 2022 budget.

Real estate taxes make up the largest source of revenue in the proposed budget, which are projected to total $6.29 million.

That is a 2.26 percent increase from the adopted 2022 real estate tax revenue, which was $6.15 million.

Public safety makes up the bulk of expenditures in the proposed budget, with $4.44 million projected to be spent on public safety services in 2023.
