SHAME ON THE PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie  Manuel deserved a better fate than the one he received, the door.  It should have been Amaro because it was he who destroyed this Phillies’ team.  He single-handed took this team apart when he decided to trade Cliff Lee in the 2009 off-season.

Since that fateful trade the Phillies have not been the same.  He destroyed the morale of this team when he replaced Cliff Lee with Halladay, a man with great expectations for the future of the Phillies.  Mr. Halladay and his large contract failed the Phillies and Philadelphia.  Great expectations turned to despair because his talent never materialized in a Phillies uniform.  It goes to show that a name tag does not guarantee success. 

Halladay was a clear disappointment and Amaro was fully responsible for it.  He wanted a name and he got a name and that is all he got.  By the time Amaro realized his mistake, it was, too late.   The damage was done because the Phillies never recovered after that fateful 2009 trade that sent Lee to Seattle.

Yes, Manuel did all that he could with the tools he was give.  Amaro is the failure and to fire Manuel is a clear case of stupidity from a fron office that doesn’t know a head from a tail.  Shame on the Phillies for firing Charlie manuel, he was and remains, a class act, something the Phillies are not.
