Shots Fired At Graduation Gown Wearing People After Delco Crash: Cops
Gunshots rang out Wednesday afternoon in Lower Chichester after a hit-and-run crash involving people dressed in graduation attire.
LOWER CHICHESTER, PA — Gunshots were fired at people wearing graduation gowns following a hit-and-run crash in Delaware County Wednesday, according to authorities.
Lower Chichester Police said they got calls for shots fired on the 1500 block of Summit Avenue Wednesday afternoon in the township.
Police shortly thereafter learned a vehicle involved in the shooting was involved in an accident before shots were fired and fled the scene.

According to police, occupants of the involved vehicle fled the scene, some of whom were reported to have been wearing blue graduation gowns.
Witnesses told police shots were fired at the vehicle near the Family Dollar store. The witness statements were corroborated by video evidence from the area.

Police said it's unclear if any shots were fired from the vehicle.
Some people involved in the hit-and-run were treated at the scene for minor injuries and refused further medical attention.
No one has been confirmed injured by gunshots, despite rumors of gunshot victims stemming from the incident, police said. Police checked hospitals for victims and did not find any.
This incident and the allegations made about it are still under investigation, police said.
