Thieves Target Marple Home After Stealing Resident's Keys: Police

Marple Police said a resident was robbed of their keys in Philadelphia and the suspects are trying to get inside to the victim's home.

BROOMALL, PA — The theft of a Marple resident's keys has police on alert, as they have tried to catch the thieves breaking into the victim's home.

According to Marple Police, a resident of Harding Avenue was robbed of his keys and identification in Philadelphia on Thursday last week.

That same night, police were called to the 2600 block of Harding Avenue after learning the suspects might be at the victim's home.

Police showed up at the home but said the suspects were there and left just a few minutes before.

While the suspects were not able to get into the home, they stole items from the victim's vehicle, police said.

Then at 9:30 p.m. the next night, police were again called to the home for a report of suspicious people.

Yet again, the suspects were not able to get into the home and unsuccessfully tried to steal the victim's vehicle, police said.

Three men left the area when police arrived, one on foot and two in a vehicle, police said.

Police followed the vehicle into Philadelphia, where it was found unoccupied.
