Traffic On Marple, Newtown Roads Impacted By PennDOT Work This Week
PennDOT said work will occur this week on West Chester Pike in Newtown and Media Line Road in Marple, impacting traffic.

MARPLE-NEWTOWN, PA — Two projects by PennDOT will impact roads in Marple and Newtown township this week.
Road construction will affect traffic on West Chester Pike in Newtown and resurfacing work will affect traffic on Media Line Road in Marple.
PennDOT said a lane on West Chester Pike is closing Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The affected portion of road is between Boot Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue.
Also, Monday through Friday, Media Line Road will have a lane closure during the day and night.

According to PennDOT, a lane closure is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
The affected portion of road is between Newtown Street Road/Route 252 and West Chester Pike/Route 3
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
