Traffic Stop Leads To Police Chase In Newtown: State Police
Pennsylvania State Police said they stopped a Chrysler on West Chester Pike in January, but it sped off, leading police on a brief chase.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A vehicle fleeing a traffic stop led to a chase and no arrests in Newtown Township back in January, Pennsylvania State Police said.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at about 11:02 a.m. Jan. 4 on West Chester Pike in Marple.
Troopers stopped a Chrysler 300 with a temporary New Jersey tag at West Chester Pike and Campus Boulevard, police said.

The vehicle pulled over, but when troopers were walking up to the vehicle, it sped off, police said.
State and local police pursued the vehicle, but eventually lost sight of it, police said.
