Tree Limb Fire Extinguished In Newtown Square
The broken tree limb caught fire after falling onto electrical wires.
NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — A broken tree limb fell on electrical wires, sparking a fire Friday in Newtown Square.
The Newtown Square Fire Company responded to the incident around 4:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Bishop Hollow Road.
A broken tree limb made contact with wires and was burning, the fire company said. It was also in danger of falling onto the roadway.

PECO arrived nearly an hour later and removed the tree limb, officials said. The roadway reopened around 6 p.m.
