Vacant Seats On Newtown Commissions, Boards, More Need Filled

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Numerous boards, commissions, and other entities within Newtown Township have positions open, and residents are encouraged to apply.

Interested residents can send letters of interest to Suzanne Wolanin at wolanins@newtowntownship.org or by mail to Newtown Township, 209 Bishop Hollow Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073, ATTN: Suzanne Wolanin.

When applying, indicate which board, commission, or committee you are interested in.

All letters of interest sent in by Tuesday, Dec. 21 will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for consideration.

These positions will being January 2022.

Below are positions open:

• Municipal Authority — one open 5-year term; one unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2023
• Zoning Hearing Board — one open 5-year term
• Planning Commission — two open 4-year terms; one unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2022
• Parks and Recreation — one open 5-year term
• Environmental Advisory Council — two open 3-year terms
• Library Board — two open 3-year terms
• Finance Committee — one open 5-year term
• Shade Tree Commission — one open 5-year term
• Trails and Greenways — two open 4-year terms
• Bartram Bridge — one open 2-year term
• Marple Newtown Leisure Services — one open 3-year term
