Vehicle Theft Suspect Arrested After 4 Thefts In 3 Days: Marple Police
The 19-year-old suspect is known to Marple Police as a vehicle thief and was arrested on a warrant recently, according to police.

BROOMALL, PA – Marple Township Police said they have arrested a suspect believed to have stolen several vehicles in just three days in Marple and Westtown, and East Goshen townships.
Police took Steven Lichti, 19, into custody as the prime suspect in the case. Lichti, of Newtown Square, was arrested on a probation violation warrant and was previously convicted in a vehicle theft case, police said.
Lichti is now behind bars on that probation violation, according to police. Due to Lichti being brought in for failing to appear in court, Marple Police said a criminal complaint will not be filed against Lichti in this case for at least a few days.

A 2002 Mercedes Benz was stolen on May 16 from a home on the 2100 block of Maclarie Lane in Broomall, police said. The car was unlocked with the keys inside, police said.

Also stolen on May 16 was a Lincoln MKZ that was taken from Mid-Atlantic Limo 1300 West Chester Pike West Chester.
Later on May 16, an off-duty Marple Township Police Officer saw Lichti walking around Marple and police then developed him as a suspect, police said.
West Goshen Police located the Mercedes the next day on May 17, about two blocks from Mid-Atlantic Limo, police said.
Then, a 2001 Cadillac was reported stolen from a home on the 1300 block of Cedar Grove Road in Marple on May 18, police said. This car also was unlocked with the keys inside, according to police.
And, as you likely guessed, another vehicle was reported stolen on May 18, this time a 2002 Nissan Maxia in West Goshen. Again, this vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside it, police said.
Police then arrested Lichti on May 19 on the probation violation warrant and named him the prime suspect in the thefts, police said.
According to police, on that same day, the Nissan and Cadillac were recovered, with the Nissan being found a few block from where Lichti was picked up by police.
Police said the Lincoln MKZ stolen from Mid-Atlantic Limo is still missing.
Marple Police said the case came to a swift end thanks to dutiful police work and teamwork.
All three recovered vehicles were seemingly undamaged, according to police.
