Virtual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony Planned For Friday In Delco

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Honoring the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks will be a bit different in Delaware County this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Delaware County is hosting a September 11 Ceremony online and is inviting the public to participate virtually.

The ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. Friday in Media's Rose Tree Park.

The county will honor those who lost their lives on September 11th, the county’s first responders who have died in the line of duty and will give thanks to those who continue to serve the community.

While the event will not be open to the public, community members are invited to watch the ceremony live on the county's website here and social media. The public is invited to gather virtually to pay tribute to our fallen first responders, as well as to give thanks to those who continue to serve our community.
