The Merchants of Swarthmore Summer Night Market is taking place Friday, July 17th from 5-9pm.&nbsp;Experience an exciting evening hosted by the Merchants of Swarthmore featuring late night shopping, food, and local pop-ups.
The summer market always has a fun, block party vibe. This year will include a DJ, mini golf, face painting, and outdoor games plus 20 local vendors, plenty of food trucks, water ice, lemonade, and more! You can also shop and dine local at many of the amazing Swarthmore businesses.
The Night Market, which was launched in 2023 by the Merchants of Swarthmore, has been a great late night shopping, community gathering, get out and have fun event that is held outdoors on Park Avenue in Swarthmore Town Center. The Merchants of Swarthmore are a group of town businesses collaborating to host more events to increase opportunities for more foot traffic and commerce in our business district.

The annual Purcellville Wine and Food Festival returns on Saturday, July 18, in Dillon’s Woods at the historic Fireman’s Field Complex (250 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville). The festival will take place from 2 to 8 p.m., inviting guests to gather with family and friends for an afternoon and evening of local wine, beer, food, live music, art, and more.
This year’s event will showcase 40 vendors, including wineries, breweries, food and snack vendors, and local exhibitors. Enjoy live music performances by the Rick Reaves Band, The Darby Brothers, and the Franklin Park Big Band. The “Arts in the Garden” section, hosted by the Purcellville Arts Council, will highlight local artists who will create works of art live on-site. Additional activities include face painting and a photo stand-in booth. 
Early bird ticket pricing is available through 5 p.m. on July 17: 
• Early bird admission (ages 17 and over): $5 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink tickets (6 oz wine or 12 oz beer): $8.50 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink ticket package: 4 tickets for $32 (+ tax) 
• Early bird bottle of wine purchase: $35 (+ tax), available from participating wineries (bottles must be consumed on-site)
A souvenir glass will be provided with the purchase of the first drink ticket. Save time and money by purchasing your tickets in advance. 
The popular VIP experience returns for $275 (+ tax) and includes admission for six, a reserved table for six, three bottles of local wine, six souvenir glasses, six drink tickets, early entry to the festival, special commemorative gifts, and a selection of sweets and savories for the table.

The Peace Creeps is the current musical project featuring former A’s captivating frontman Richard Bush. Richard and his A’s were the darlings of Philly in the ‘70s and early ‘80s and had the hits “After Last Night” and “A Woman’s Got The Power”, which was later recorded by both Clarence Clemons and Jennifer Holliday. They released two albums on Arista Records and toured nationally, but they disbanded due to disputes with their record company. After that Bush had a few other bands and then took a long hiatus to write and record. Finally, along with guitarist John Marchiano, bassist Roy Fisher and drummer Jeff Pancoast, The Peace Creeps were born. Bush and song writing partner, AJay McLaughlin’s clever lyricism, along with their Elvis Costello–like wit, Faces–like looseness and the pop sensibilities of the Beatles are reasons for their appeal.&nbsp;
With his 6th release, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter, Scott McClatchy, returns to his Americana roots. Joined by his longtime bandmates, Kirk Brewster (guitar &amp; vocals) and Chris Erikson (guitar vocals), the band returns to the late 60’s sounds of acoustic guitars and layered harmonies. With each member taking a turn at lead vocals, the eclectic set blends the roots of each songwriter, along with a modern-day mix of folk, county, blues &amp; Rock &amp; Roll.&nbsp;
Tickets $25. advance general seating. $35. VIP advance reserved seating (minimum 2 per table). $40. at the door. Advance sales close 5pm day of show.
BYOB is welcome for an additional $5 donation per drinker. Disposable cups and ice provided. No Food is served at the Kelly Center. You can bring in outside food. There is a vending machine with snacks , cold drinks, and coffee pods for a Keurig.&nbsp;&nbsp;
