Water Main Work Restricting West Chester Pike In Marple, Newtown

MARPLE NEWTOWN, PA — Water main work will affect traffic in Marple and Newtown townships, according to PennDOT

Aqua Pennsylvania is planning weekday lane restrictions with flagging West Chester Pike in both townships this week.

PennDOT said starting now, West Chester Pike/Route 3 between Media Line Road and Sproul Road/Route 320 in Marple Township will have restrictions weekdays through Friday, July 31.

And then on Tuesday, West Chester Pike between Alice Grim Boulevard and Boot Road in Newtown Township will have lane restrictions through Thursday.

Restrictions for both projects will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
